The issue of ’buffer’ in projects in general, and in construction and infrastructure projects in particular, has become a “hot issue” in recent years.
Everybody wants a buffer, everybody wants to own it, and there is a great lack of knowledge on this issue.
WHY DO WE NEED A BUFFER?
The main issue is – we provide inaccurate time estimates.
Why?
There are two reasons: the first – errors caused by an internal factor (the one making the estimate) and the second – errors caused by external factors.
